With the rainy season of 2009 / 2010 fast approaching, MGI recommends the following in order to help promote stability of your hillside home and / or property. Cracks in paved surfaces shall be sealed to limit infiltration of surface waters. Site area drains, catch basins, roof gutters, and downspouts should be inspected to insure that they are not clogged, damaged, and that they are functioning properly. Drainage swales should be inspected and cleared of any debris. Any erosion around and underneath the drainage swales should be repaired to prevent further undermining of the subgrade around the swales.

Worried about your hillside residence or slope? Call MGI to schedule a site observation and report, (805) 522-5174.
